My first concert junkie post on the new site and it was a great show. Last night I saw Timbaland perform at The Fillmore on Irving Place. Big shouts out to my boy D on keys for Timbo that hooked me up with tix. I went in thinking it would just be an okay night since I'm not the biggest fan of Timbaland's music and then when he started performing I realized that I'm a huuuuuuge fan of his production. He's also very engaging on stage and I wasn't expecting that at all. He performed songs with artists he worked with that couldn't be in the building via screen but Diddy, Lil' Kim, Keri Hilson, and Petey Pablo were all there to show love and perform in person.
Keri Hilson was too cute in her boyfriend look coming from the Lady Gaga concert. Shows that she can be fab all glammed up and in "around the way girl" gear. I love this chick! She rocked the house and also spoke some heartfelt words about her love and appreciation for Timbaland. Peep the vid:
One of my favorite parts of the show was when he beatboxed some of his biggest pop hits. You'll hear me laughing hysterically when he does Justin Timberlake's "What Goes Around" because Timbo doesn't know any of the words to the song. Bwhahahahaha!!! Peep the vid:
When Lil' Kim took the stage with "Jump Off" I damn near lost my mind, but sadly I don't really recognize her anymore. She seriously needs an intervention. She is 1 surgery away from looking like the NYC Cat lady. No matter what she looks like though you can never take away the fact that she has some hits and her lil behind can rock a stage. Exclusive info. Timbaland is working on beats right now for Diddy's Last Train to Paris album. Diddy slid through right before the end of the concert to show his appreciation for Timbo's work and even did a couple classic Bad Boy joints that resulted in Lil' Kim coming back on stage to rock 1 last time.
